Definitely Motor. Almost Definitely Motor. She's only picked up the game to play with Kamala, Ryushi and Shiroko while at brunch, so she's very much a casual Duelist, but has enough knowledge that she can probably Duel without terribly much trouble.

Personality:

Serious but not joyless, Violet is basically Hiroshi's minder and the most level headed adult in the Kurochi-Kiriya family, by sheer happenstance. She's likeable, pleasent, funny, and capable of jokes and easily gets along with people like Jinn and Onni in a comfortable manner, so she's mostly well adjusted. But, at the same time, she also has little tolerance for the general idiocy of Jinn and her spouse, Hiroshi, so she tends to be firm when dealing with them, and keeps both on short leashes, as well as having to be the most coherent adult in her daughter, Ryushi's, family life.

But she's basically a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a shrewd businesswoman. And is a competent actor. Amd also, very adept at vehicle repair work and modification due to 30+ years of working as a mechanic. Basically, she's one of the most level headed well adjusted adults in modern Japan you'll ever meet. Just don't get her drinking and then she gets very morbid. Except...

While working, she's "Vivi", her work persona at Black Velvet Entertainment, a selfish, vain airhead obsessed with her looks, not taking responsibility, and is a follower of "The Black Abraxia", and this work persona has slowly spiralled out of control.

History:

Kurochi Shikoko was born Kurochi Shitaro, and... most of his life was pretty by the numbers from School to College to joining a Company. At some point, he met Kiriya Hiroshi, who was likely a bartender at this point.

Things happened, the two got married, Shitaro got promoted up the ladder. And Hiroshi gave birth to Kuroko. And then the twins Shiyoko and Shiroko. And then Shinoko. ... And Hiroshi got very hot but was a fairly difficult woman, Shitaro felt frustrated by his job feeling stifling. And Shitaro ended up quitting his job to start his own business: Car and Bike Repair in Tokyo.

Hiroshi ends up cheating on Shitaro, no fault of his own other than Hiroshi frustrated by his own personal choices of wanting a more emotionally rewarding job. Hiroshi and Shitaro divorced. Hiroshi took Shiroko and Shinoko. Kuroko and Shiyoko stayed with their dad. We know the rigamarole.

Shiyoko had to explain to her dad she got pregnant as a teen. He definitely did try to help her but berated her for being reckless with her body, etc. etc.

Time goes on, he runs a successful business, stays loosely in touch with his daughters as they all met back up during DA.

He eventually comes to Kaikori (before it entered the sky) to visit Kamala and Shiyoko, and well. He plomfed into a woman. For reasons unknown he just ended up staying, got back in touch with Hiroshi, fell back in love with her, despite her on going mid-life crisis and.

Then Abraxia happened, warping her grandmother Hiroshi into a teenager for purposes on Duel Academy island that remain aloof, and turning her grandmother "Violet" into a curvy adult actress. Things happened, reality got bent very loosely back together, and now Violet is the very attractive matriarch of the family while Hiroshi slops around in being a hopeless teenager that lives with Violet.

And this would all be fine if not for three things:

A) The work persona Violet has, "Vivi", seems to be enroaching on her life outside of work
B) Hiroshi keeps flicking between herself and "Hiroko", a personality grafted onto her to alloww her to work in DA.
C) Hiroshi's company is now run by a faction of Abraxia's followers who wish to elevate a specific version of Abraxia: "The Black Abraxia".

And Hiroshi really would like her company and adulthood back. Or at least she thinks so.

Violet is a long running (well, two years plus) character who has showed up regularly in IRC side scenes with Sven, Linka and Jinn, and it might be useful to app her in case it comes up. (It will with nonsense involving Onni, soon).
